Our Objective

To assist AP Chemistry students in achieving their highest possible potentials through the
implementation of a system of resources designed to methodically build knowledge and
understanding of the curriculum, while disclosing the solution strategies and descriptive techniques
necessary to maximize one's score on the final exam

The Teacher's Resource Package Includes:

37 slide show lectures, which cover the entire College Board Curriculum and the content
behind every question that has appeared on a published AP Chemistry Exam since 1999;

Worksheets for each lecture with questions that require the same type of problem solving
strategies and explanations as those from past AP Chemistry exams;

The 22 recommended labs with problems and procedures designed to train students to answer
lab based free response questions;

Unit tests that contain the same types of multiple choice and free response questions that
students can expect to see on the AP Chemistry Exam.

Description of Materials

Slide Show Presentations

The lectures span the following units:
Atomic Theory, Nomenclature, and Stoichiometry; Chemical Bonding; Aqueous Solutions and
Chemical Reactions; Thermodynamics; Equilibrium; Gases; Electrochemistry; Intermolecular
Forces; Solutions; Acids and Bases; Kinetics; Nuclear Chemistry; and Organic Chemistry.

The lecture outlines for students contain six slides per page and space to add additional
information.

The teacher's lecture notes provide a thorough coverage of the content.

Worksheets with Complete Solution Keys

Each lecture has an associated worksheet with questions written in the same style as those found
on past AP Chemistry exams. All of the worksheets come with answer keys that provide
complete solutions and in depth explanations for every question.

The 22 Recommended Labs with Solution Keys

The 22 Recommended Labs include:
Determination of the Formula of a Compound; Determination of the Percentage of Water in a
Hydrate; Molar Mass by Vapor Density; Molar Mass by Freezing Point Depression;
Determination of the Molar Volume of a Gas; Standardization of a Solution; Titration of Vinegar;
Concentration of a Solution by REDOX Titration; Mass and Mole Relationship in a Reaction;
Examination of Acid Base Indicators; Finding the Rate and Order of a Reaction; Determination of
Enthalpy Change; Qualitative Analysis of Ions; Synthesis and Analysis of a Coordination
Compound; Gravimetric Analysis; Spectrophotometric Analysis; Chromatography; Preparation
and Properties of Buffered Solutions; Determination of an Electrochemical Series;
Electrochemical Measurements; and Synthesis of an Ester.

The answer keys have a point system, which is modeled after the scoring guidelines from past AP
Chemistry exams.

A complete list of the chemicals and equipment required to complete all 22 labs is provided.

Free Response and Multiple Choice Tests

Each of the thirteen units comes with four free response and four multiple choice tests. All test
questions require the same type of analytical thinking as those that are typically seen on the AP
Exam.

The solution keys are modeled after the scoring guidelines from past AP Chemistry Exams. This
system of marking effectively trains students to structure their answers to free response questions
with the details necessary to maximize their final scores.
